This past month has felt like a year in itself. With everything going on in the world, I think it's important to take this time to work on things we've put off- the things we've told ourselves for months that we'd "get around to it." This is the time we've all been waiting for, whether we want to admit it or not. So here's a list of some things you can do during this time, including anything that you've pushed to the back of your mind.

1. Acquire a new hobbie

Have you wanted to start learning about photography? Start journaling? Try dancing? Whatever the case may be, now is the free time you've been looking for to start investing into a new hobby.

2. Read that book you've had lying around

I know that I've told myself I would get around to reading certain books, and just never did. So I just placed an Amazon order for two books that I've been wanting to read.

My reading list:

- The Lonely City

- Goodbye to All That: Writers on Loving and Leaving New York

3. Discover new music

There's been so many new music drops this year and we're only a few months in. I never had the time to just sit down and listen to new music, so I've been spending some of my time browsing Spotify. I'll link my 'coronacation' playlist.

4. Clean your space

Whether it be your room, your house, or just your closet, you could use this time to do one big cleaning project. I personally have cleaned out my closet and organized my clothes.

5. Redo your room

This is also another project I've tackled during my time off. I purchased a Tezza collage kit and put it up on one of my walls. I purchased the City Kit, and I'll link a picture of what it looks like here:

6. Get active

Just because there's a stay at home order doesn't mean you can't be active from the comfort of your own home. If you're fortunate enough to have workout equipment in your own home, take advantage of it! If not, you can go for walks/runs in your own neighborhood. And don't be afraid to get an ab or leg workout in, too! You can do those inside or outside.

7. Try new recipes

Take this time to experiment with your cooking and baking skills. I've been trying different smoothies. This is my favorite recipe right now:

Almond Milk (approx. 1/2 cup)

Chamberlain Coffee (approx. 1/2 cup)

1 frozen banana

1 teaspoon cacao powder

1 scoop of chocolate protein powder

- add ice to your liking

8. Stay calm and appreciate this time to relax and spend with your family
