Gilmore Girls came out around the time I was born, and was recently added to Netflix, changing my life forever. Though some of the lovely characters' clothing choices are dated and questionable, the advice it's taught me is not. Here are some things Gilmore Girls has taught me:
1. Your mother can act as a mother, and as your best friend.
2. Wallowing is important after a breakup.
Which means get back into your pajamas, go to bed, and eat nothing but gallons of ice cream and tons of pizza.
3. In "Omnia Paratus"
- ready for all things
4. Sometimes you just need to give in and do something crazy.
5. When moving somewhere new, "Lorelai" all the nearest takeout restaurants.
Rank them based on flavor, then cuteness of delivery guys, quality of food, then speed of service. It's a system.
6. Go after what you want.
7. Never underestimate the power of food.
8. Everything's magical when it snows.
There's just something about the first snow of the year.
9. Coffee is acceptable at any hour of the day, and is a vital necessity in order to live.
10. If you're out on the road
Feeling lonely, and so cold
All you have to do is call my name
And I'll be there on the next train
